We've been using salesforce for almost two months and love it.

Other Thoughts:
We were up and running in just two days and the sales staff find it easy to use. We haven't customized the system in any way because it costs too much, but I think using the standard system is actually a plus when you consider the frequent upgrades and technical support. I'd recommend this system to any small business.

Cons:
browser based, cant go from lead to lead with out going back to the lead list. when deleting a lead it takes you to a completly different new lead list(confusing). The need to hit the 'back arrow" on your browser 3 to 6 times to get back to your list

This is the worst CRM ive ever used!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cons:
You have to purchase all these extras from Salesforce partners. to do mass email, territory management, product inventory, etc. they are not cheap!
Other Thoughts:
This is a product that requires a power user of IT staff to install and keep it running. If you have a power user on staff they can get the job done but it will be a full time job for them. Sales force.com is a CRM/devlopment tool it is not a feature product. There is a large market for expensive consulting and professional services help so IT staff like to install the system. IT is a career move for them. That is why the focus in on cloud computing etc instead of actually references to improvement in their customers sales teams. Before buying get some references from users and sales executives to verify that the product really helped them.

Well designed user interface, extensive reporting, reasonably priced, has sales, marketing, and great support/KB features.
Cons:
Needs overhaul using new technology. Needs top notch software vision that has business experience. Email/Cal far behind Outlook/Lotus.

Cons:
there was not much structure or help in the initial setup and design of our crm features from the salesforce team. but i suppose that is where they make their money, when we tried support they were not very helpful and wanted to charge us more. it is already NOT CHEAP..
